MS stands for multiple sclerosis.

It is a chronic, progressive disease that affects the central nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. It is characterized by inflammation, damage, and scarring of the myelin sheath, which is the protective covering around nerve fibers.

This can lead to a wide range of symptoms, including loss of balance, muscle weakness, numbness and tingling, vision problems, and cognitive issues.

MS is a lifelong condition with no known cure, but there are treatments available to manage symptoms and slow down disease progression.
